Beeville, TX — October 18, 2025 — The Beeville Independent School District (Beeville ISD) Athletics Department has reaffirmed its dedication to community health and cancer awareness by donating $4,600 to the South Texas Family Planning / Breast & Cervical Cancer Clinic in Beeville. This year’s gift surpasses last year’s $4,258.46 contribution, highlighting the district’s growing commitment to supporting those impacted by cancer.
The donation was officially presented on October 17, 2025, during a special recognition ceremony attended by representatives from South Texas Family Planning, Beeville ISD Administration, Athletics Director Richard Vasquez, and the Beeville ISD Board of Trustees. The check presentation was held alongside two spirited athletic events, the Lady Trojan Volleyball and Trojan Varsity Football games, both dedicated to promoting cancer awareness and celebrating community unity.

“Our district’s commitment to cancer awareness reflects the heart of our community,” said Superintendent Travis Fanning. “Nearly every family has been touched by cancer in some way, and through these efforts, we continue to stand united in support.”

The funds were raised through a series of athletics-driven initiatives and enthusiastic community participation. From Pink-Out games to special fundraising activities, Beeville ISD athletes, coaches, staff, and supporters joined forces to raise awareness and provide meaningful contributions to local health services.

“Cancer has touched my life and the lives of so many people in our community,” said Athletics Director Richard Vasquez. “Supporting the South Texas Family Planning / Breast & Cervical Cancer Clinic means so much to me personally. I’m proud that our district and fans came together to help raise funds for such an important cause.”

The South Texas Family Planning / Breast & Cervical Cancer Clinic plays a vital role in providing preventive care, cancer screenings, and essential health services to residents across the region. Beeville ISD’s continued partnership helps ensure that more individuals have access to early detection resources and potentially life-saving screenings. Click here for their official website.
